Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust runs two hospitals serving the 330,000 residents of North Liverpool, South Sefton and Kirkby.
University Hospital Aintree is a large teaching hospital providing Accident & Emergency services, general hospital services and specialist services.
The specialist services are used by a population of 1.5 million across the North West. Walton Hospital provides outpatient and day surgery services. The services at Walton Hospital will move to the new Elective Care Centre at University Hospital Aintree during 2010.
