Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) – your one stop shop for NHS advice
As a patient, relative or carer sometimes you may need someone to turn to for help, advice and support. This is where the Patient Advice and Liaison Service comes in. Our aim is to help sort out any problems or concerns you may have when using health services.
PALS work with patients and staff to improve our health service by:
- Offering advice and support to patients, their families and carers
- Providing information on NHS services
- Listening and responding to concerns, suggestions and queries
- Helping to sort out problems quickly on your behalf
We will always ask for your permission before personal information is discussed with others. We can talk to staff, management and other organisations on your behalf.
The service is free and confidential. Only in exceptional circumstances where your safety or that of others must be considered will we pass on information. We will always tell you if we have to do this.
